balboa 0 Posted June 6, 2005 Hi all, thinking about putting a pipercross induction kit onto my mk 2 golf 16v....just wondering exactly if thrers really any point, as in besides the sound will i really notice a difference in the performance...and will the car drink more fuel.....thanks
CazzaVR 0 Posted June 6, 2005 MPG may go down slightly, and you'll lose some power. Get yourself a CAI or drop a panel filter in and add some ducting to the airbox for some nice cold air. Fitting an induction kit in the engine bay is absolutely pointless, unless your sole objective is to get more noise.
balboa 0 Posted June 6, 2005 hi Andy...i already have a K&N filter plate...and the box is already drilled with holes...is that as good as the induction kit...so shall inot bother with buying one..thanks
CazzaVR 0 Posted June 6, 2005 That's better than the induction kit! Try running in some ducting for cold air- do a search- it's been discussed a lot. HTH
