MFA Ambient Temperature Sensor?

Hi,

 

The ambient temperature reading on my MFA constantly shows -40, everything else works fine.

 

Was trying to work out where the temperature sensor for this is located... or if there is one?

 

My cars a 1989 16v.

Sensor is usually in the RHF brake cooling duct.

lol.i miss-read that at first and thought you were asking where IS the front bumper!! :lol:

 

on my car its on the drivers side attached to the bumper. its just a wire with a plastic doo-dar on the end that takes the temp....if you're having trouble locating it it may be easier to remove the wheel.

its those big plastic bits on the front and back of the car that everytime you get back to your parked car some dicks hit or scratched!

you should try living where he does mate (( spain )) ...they literaly use the bumpers to park..its insane

Just had a look, mines missing.

 

Where can i get a new one, do GSF or ECP do them? or is it only available through VAG Dealers?

 

How much are they?
