W3RKD 0 Posted July 21, 2003 BREMBO 4-POTS If anyone wishes to upgrade there brakes to seat brembo 4-pots,here`s a list of the parts: Brake disc-305mm/28mm-part no-6KL615301-£50 + vat each. Caliper with pads-6KL615123 & 6KL615124-£86 + vat each. Bracket for caliper to hub-6KL615421-£11 + vat each. Bolts for bracket to caliper-6KL615141-£4.50 + vat each. there you go no need to be taken for a ride now you can go and buy them from vag yourselfs for very good money!! just see how cheap these kits are then ask yourself how some companys can warrent the prices they are selling them for ?? btw i dont sell this kit as i dont see the point in selling somthing that anyone can go to vag and buy themselves... And Jim, I think you'll find thats for the fronts only, unless you have 4 brake discs at the front of your car.. ;) £356 inc VAT for brand new 305mm disc front-system with 4-pot calipers? Bluxie 0 Posted July 22, 2003 16" is what is on the Cupra R that is equipped with these brakes, but it's not that easy, it's not just the 16" but also the offset and how wide the rims are, and if it are deep disch rims it will be a problem to fit these... Bluxie 0 Posted July 22, 2003 This doesn't affect your ABS, the ABS just comes into play when your wheels are going to lock up, it uses sensors to determine the rotating of the wheels, every surface and tire condition combination is different, so bigger brakes are no problem for your ABS it just changes the force of braking so the wheels will rotate at all time, when you brake fully you can feel the vibration from the ABS constantly taking away pressure and letting some more back on there... But when chatting to a very knowledgeable mechanic a while back- he warned that the callipers being alloy expand and contract a lot during heavy use. I have the brembo's in front. and they do verry wel. on a car that is much heavyer than the Rado... For youre vr6. i wold let the cupra r disk drilled to 5 holes...
