Johnboy98 0 Posted December 30, 2005 I paid (delivered) for the Diff £420 for the rebuild of the Box £195 1 x 2nd gear Synchro £42 1 x seal set £17 2 x pinion bearings £34 and to fit it £100 total £808 You dont need to I suppose if you know theres plenty of life in the clutch but I changed that at the time aswell as final drive ratio but thats personel preference. In all I paid £1350 fitted inc VAT at Stealth for a full rebuild, VAG clutch, quaife, 3.68 crown wheel and shaft etc. I had all of the Syncs and bearings done though, which aren't cheap. 2nd gear synch is made up of 3 seperate rings, the others are one piece. It's well over a £150 just for all the syncs! Worth it though as it's essentially a new box as the gears them selves and obviously the casing never really wear out.......unless you strip the teeth with too much torque :-) Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I just left them to it as thats all they do so maybe thats why the price is cheaper as they are a one trick ponnie!
