Recommendations for engine bay sealer/ wax

Got a shed load of ICE from Audioscape weeks ago now and still haven't got past fitting the tweeters and soundproofing the door cos each thing i do highlights another job thats needs sorting :?

 

latest one is when I pulled the battery out to route the power cable I noticed the wax underneath was cracking and absolutely filthy as all the mud had slowly sank into it- plus there were a few rust patches as well. Anyway I have got all the wax out along the whole inner wing and repaired the rust - just need something to reseal/ rewax- any recommendations?

 

Plus the battery jacket disintegrated- are these still available from stealers?

My car's got a non VAG front wing and the inner surface was completely untreated when I got the car. I got a tin of Waxoyl from Halfords and brushed it on (careful to use one of dad's old brushes :lol:). It's really gunky but it's just what you need to keep the moisture out.

The WURTH wax is very good, lot of bodyshops use it.
