GinaG 0 Posted August 23, 2005  Boo hoo. . . I know there are a lot of these abs problems and have tryed to read through some of them but i have replaced the speed sensor, some other sensor too and had a 2nd hand abs pump fitted but the light has still managed to come on today. I do need to replace the front and back l/h-side brake callipers and the cv boot, could this be why its still coming on?? Did read this a while ago regarding the 2nd hand abs pump "as long as the part number (this is on a sticker on the top of the cylindrical pump) is identical to that of your car's ABS pump" then it will work. Surely my vw mechanic would know this wouldnt he, cant ring him until later to find out.
dazzyvr6 0 Posted August 23, 2005 he going to have to hook the car up to vagcom, that will give him a fault code then he will find the problem...i would of thought he did that before changing anything
Supercharged 2 Posted August 23, 2005 Yep, as Dazzy says you need a diagnostic tool to find out what the problem is before changing anything!
pkripper 0 Posted August 23, 2005 You should try the cheapest option first and work your way up. I did this and it worked a treat. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... abs+sensor Regards
