Rick_ford55 0 Posted September 2, 2005 My mechanic has reported that my rear brake pipes are corroded to excess and so are the lines from the front to rear so i will have to get them replaced soon.... the car is off the road at themo as i wont to do everything i can to it before next summer.. Is there a decent upgrade you can do for the brakes pipes??? Or should i just get them done in a local garage?
Henny 0 Posted September 2, 2005 Use copper pipe for the fixed pipes and Goodridge stainless steel braided pipes for the flexy pipes. Also replace the brake fluid with DOT5.1 Together these should give you a more responsive brake pedal feel and less fade with the added knowledge that you're not gonna have to replace 'em again for at least 10 years... 8)
