Can't find this part in my Bently Manual - photos included!

Was changing my air filter to day - good job i did as i discovered a broken rubber part!

 

I thought i was leaking oil and i've found the culprit - looks easy to fit another one thank god.

 

So if anyone can help with part number etc or if anyone has a spare one that they wish to sell it would be a great help.

 

Great isn't it when you spend 80 odd quid on a manual and.................. oh bugger!

 

I hope and pray that VW have not discontinued yet another part!

 

I know my vehicle is 10 years odd old but would an oil cooler aid in the preservation of associated rubber parts?

Its a valve/breather, often breaks like your one, VW will try and sell you the whole rubber intake system for £70 ish, they don't sell the valve anymore, best bet is to get one from a scrappy/broken car or get one from Ford as explained here.

I think that part doesn't exist on the US 2.8 VR, thats why it doesn't appear in the Bender...
