just won this MAF on egay, is it going to work?

as the title says... I saw it with about 1min to go, knew the MAF in my VR ended in '461' so grabbed it since it was cheap on the off-chance its going to work. Am I right in thinking any MAF ending with 461 is going to be ok or am i looking at relisting this and chalking any loss up to experiance?

It doesn't look like the right one to me, but I could be wrong.

 

The connector looks too small and the original one has a large flatish bottom/side with a large lump of metel attached. At least my original did and so did the replacement - and it ended in 461

 

Like I say though, could be wrong...

yeah dutch it doesnt look too much like my current one either, but from reading other threads on the topic it looks like anything ending in 461 should work so long as the connection on the loom fits...

Chris you need an OBD1 MAF mate, that's a 4 pin OBD2 one. Yours is 5 pin.

is that not an obd 2 style one? I can't remember what mine looks like but i could do with a spare if its not the one 24v R needs, chris

well if its no good to me and no good to jay, its yours paul. Like i said i saw it cheap and thought it best to snap it up on the off chance!
