KarmannVR6 0 Posted September 16, 2005 Hi folks, this has proberbly been answered before but i couldn't find anything on a search. Basically my vr's gearbox is shot (diff i think) and i'm lookin for a replacement. Are all vr6 gearbox's the same e.g passat, golf, vento, corrado? Geo 0 Posted September 27, 2005 As far as I am aware the corrado box has shorter ratios than the golf/vento one. I have a corrado box in my vento track car as the diff let go in the original one. The boxes are the same externally apart from a slight difference in the arrangement at the top of the selector mechanism where the counterweight bolts on.
