Dutch24V 0 Posted September 22, 2005 One thing though, as the monkeys at my local VW dealer don't know - will a new matrix from VW have the valve in it to stop coolant p*ssing all over my floor when it fails, or do I have to buy this valve seperately?? Henny 0 Posted September 22, 2005 has it got a 'B' suffix on the part number? If it has, then it's got the valves built in... 8) If it's for a VR6 then it should have the valves in it anyway though... 8)
Dutch24V 0 Posted September 22, 2005 Apparently the C matrix is now the same part as a golf 4 matrix? - which I presume has the valve built in. I will check the part number tonight to be sure though. Cheers...
Henny 0 Posted September 22, 2005 ah, your car will be LHD then seeing as you're in Holland? In that case, I have no idea, sorry... :|
saysomestuff 0 Posted September 22, 2005 The car was recalled on this, I doubt they'd sell the faulty unit any time after the fault was discovered
Dutch24V 0 Posted September 22, 2005 Saysomestuff: That's my thinking too, but just wanted to be sure. Henny: Do you think there'll be a difference then between RHD & LHD? I don't see why? Will check part number anyhow later tonight...
Henny 0 Posted September 22, 2005 yeah, The parts ARE different for LHD and RHD... the pipes come out of the matrix and through the bulkhead at a different angle.
