Which final drive for better acceleration?

This winter i will be droping a 2.0l 16v 9a in a mk1 with 02a box and would love to change final drive in the box for better acceleration

 

Any idea where i could get one? And who could i trust to get it installed?

Best final drive for sprints i.e where acceleration is no. 1 priority is the 3.94 final drive from VW. Cost £208 plus VAT from the stealer.

I could think of a worse way to spend couple of hundred quid

Not to bad at all that for gains it would give me thinks

Dont think i'l be asking stealers to get it installed tho!

I've got a 4.25 final drive from an 02j box that'll fit your box. You can have it for a very resonable price if you want! I had a 02j box from and Audi A3 with this 4.25 final drive, but as I use the car everyday I changed it myself for a 3.6. PM me if you want the 4.25 or any advice on changing the final drive.

I may have a 3.94 available soon.

 

no good for turbo VR6, ideal for up to 250bhp NA though, especially if you like your revs
