are mk3 5studs bolts diferent to 4 stud bolts size?

just bought some 5 stud rear discs form ecrapbay pressed in new bearings, fitted them, and the bolts just slid in through the thread. i didn't think 5 studs use bigger bolts. but the don't the mk4's....? need to know as i'll report him. another £40 down the drain. sh it.

5 stud bolts are M14x1.5

4 Stud Bolts are M12x1.5

 

So yes they are smaller.
