Brieve 0 Posted October 21, 2005 Looking to replace the clutch in my 91 G60. Looking at http://www.unorthodoxracing.com for a slightly uprated clutch and lightened Flywheel. Shipping from the states is not a thing for my as I have a US military Post box. Any suggestions on better kits for Rados? Brieve
dazzyvr6 0 Posted October 21, 2005 most of the G60 owners go for the standard VR6 clutch
Blue_Joe 0 Posted October 21, 2005 Standard VR6 Clutch is more than capable for a G60. I'm using one in my 2.0Ltr G60 Conversion

Supercharged 2 Posted October 21, 2005 Looks like I will be going to visit my local GSF then. Much better to get a genuine VAG one, not much more and much better parts.
Blue_Joe 0 Posted October 21, 2005 Don't go to VAG - get the LUK or is it SACHS one that is better from GSF!!!!! Sorry Steve, but payinig for a name and they're not better, actually probably more like exactly the same one
Dutch24V 0 Posted October 21, 2005 Sorry Steve, but payinig for a name and they're not better, actually probably more like exactly the same one I think someone will be on soon to debate/disagree with that one in more detail, but I remember this discussion from before and It's known that the VAG kit is much more heavy duty than the LUK or the SACHS and is actaully a combination of the 2. Even if you buy one of these 2 decent kits they are NOT the same as the VAG kit. Dutch

Tristan 0 Posted November 28, 2005 So..if I buy a VR6 clutch Kit for my G60 it will fit? Do I have to change the Flywheel too or just remove the old one and fit the new one?
Supercharged 2 Posted November 29, 2005 Nope - exactly the same size and fitment - just a bit beefier!
andy 0 Posted November 29, 2005 Indeed the VAG one is part Sachs and part LUK. £120 from stealers.
