james_88 0 Posted October 24, 2005 Whenever i turn the steering wheel about half a revolution i can feel a very definate "clunk" through it, what could be causing this? Ball joints or wishbones needing replaced? Just had my top mounts replaced, thought it might be these but obviously not! Any ideas? Cheers.
GIXXERUK 0 Posted October 24, 2005 from the left or right ? does it feel as though the front coil spring is turning with the strut and springing back ? is it only one clunk ? does it do it when you turn either direction ?
james_88 0 Posted October 24, 2005 It happens when i turn the wheel in both directions. I suppose it does feel as if the spring is turning with the strut and popping back, although i have coilovers so would this make a difference? sorry for the vague description, i'm not too bothered about it but it's just one of those annoying things! stevemac 0 Posted October 24, 2005 Could be one of the tie rod ends, loose steering rack, or as in my case - the steering column bottom UJ.
