Walesy 0 Posted November 27, 2005 Bonjour What possible causes are there for the clutch pedal to stick? Other than it getting caught on bits of the dash what are the possible reasons for this happening? Could it be as simple as the pedal needing a bit of grease? bcstudent 0 Posted November 27, 2005 Dodgy slave cylinder? Stuck going down or coming back up?
Walesy 0 Posted November 28, 2005 Needs to be pulled back up with your foot.
bcstudent 0 Posted November 28, 2005 That's definitely been discussed before. I swear it's related to the slave cylinder - maybe bleeding it would help. *EDIT* Here's a good palce to start: http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7986
Walesy 0 Posted November 28, 2005 bcstudent, cheers fella....i've just searched on the slave/master cylinder and it sounds like it could be the culprit. The problem is intermitant though, i'll have a check around the clutch pedal to see if there's any signs of fluid around there and check the brake fluid level. Many thanks. Supercharged 2 Posted November 29, 2005 Yep, check the fluid level and for signs of fluid on top of the gearbox... they leak internally at first but if it's sticking down then I would expect to see fluid externally... Slave is about £40 from VAG
