dtjames 0 Posted September 25, 2003 Please can I come and NOT go on the RR? I need to know ASAP if this is possible to get the time off work. Cheers Dave. BTW... What BHP should my C have after it has been remapped by AMD? 205-210 is what I think they told me - is this about right?
dtjames 0 Posted September 28, 2003 I think I will go on the RRoad now - can someone confirm that it is ok to do so and tell me if I still send the cheque to the address in this thread, or can I turn up on the day armed with the reddies - CASH ?
Mike Edwards 0 Posted September 28, 2003 205bhp and 225lbft would be nice, but that was quite a few miles ago. That's a VSR, throttlebody, panel filter, Scorpion exhaust and AMD remap. If it is now possible to get 205-210 with just a remap, I'll be paying them a visit in the near future... Bring it on!!!
dtjames 0 Posted September 28, 2003 AmD claim : "..up to 14% improvement..." 191bhp * 114% = 217.7bhp ! I suppose it is worth noting that we don't all start with the 191bhp in the 1st place though !
Campaign 0 Posted September 28, 2003 Mike, at AMD I registered 205 on the Campaign. The only thing its got is a ReMap, and we're not certain who did it either.... :) Funky, I'm still not certain if I can make it or not (sproglet still hasn't appeared). Sorry for messing you about. I'm sorry I can't get a deposit out to you, but I will endeavour to turn up anyway. (although which VR6 I will come in I don't know!)
Mike Edwards 0 Posted September 29, 2003 Maybe I should get the cam timing checked...
anorak 0 Posted September 30, 2003 Can I book 2 places - if it's o.k to bring the Mk2 Golf VR along aswell. I'll put a check in the post tonite for £20 and if you'd rather keep the day to C's only that can be full payment for my day - if that's alright. Cheers. Kevin Bacon 5 Posted October 1, 2003 I know the route to Stealth like the back of my hand, so if anyone from the southern/eastern regions wants to meet up on the A14 in the morning, I'll happily lead the way. Kev
Jim 2 Posted October 1, 2003 Likewise.. drove there so many times in only a year of ownership.. 2 rolling road days, 3 or 4 times for repairs, and once to book a service and discuss various work :)
dtjames 0 Posted October 1, 2003 Why would I want to do 2 runs? - doing alterations between? Can I have 1 only - just to see if I get the same results I had from AmD? Don't want 2 - :( I will come anyway :D Anyone else coming from the Cardiff direction? Convoy? What time are folk arriving there?
anorak 0 Posted October 2, 2003 KEVHAYWIRE - I wouldn't mind meeting up and following you there, my sense of direction leaves a lot to be desired! Any idea on a rendezvous time and place yet? Cheers, Mark.

Cheers, Mark. Supercharged and I could meet you at the last filling station before the A14 Midlands turn off if you want? We'll be following the A14 from Bury St Edmunds. We need to meet there at 7am to get to Stealth by 9. Cheers Kev

Toby 0 Posted October 3, 2003 I'm wondering if I should take my front spoiler off for this or not ?... I have 65 mm ground clearance - and have removed it for the MOT before just incase, so guess that I should for this too??

Getting the car on the ramps should be OK but it might be worth ringing Vince to check what the clearance is when the rollers drop down. There'll be enough of us to sit on the boot opening anyway! funky 0 Posted October 3, 2003 last time i had mine on the rollers i was glad i never had a front spoiler fitted might be worth taking it off to save any damage funky
