pojy 0 Posted December 22, 2005 Hi fellow Corrado lovers..... I'm new to the forum and have a 94 2.0 16v Rado in Dusky Mauve and previously owned a 1.8 16v in Silver !, had a couple of MK2 gti's...Ususally use ED38, CGTI and PVW forum but need some specialist advice...basically the fuel guage is in-operative but everything else works... Is it the Fuel sender ? or could it be something else ?.... Thanks in advance I know bugger about electrics, so keep your answers simple please... Henny 0 Posted December 23, 2005 could be the sender in the tank, the gauge itself or simply the wire from the sender... Take the wire off the sender (under the rear seat IIRC) and touch it to ground with the ignition on.... this should make the gauge read FULL, if it doesn't, then it's either the wire or the gauge itself... pojy 0 Posted December 23, 2005 ok cool i'll try that...I think you can access it from a round plastic cover on the boot floor (someone told me this on another forum).... I'll try that and let you know how I get on....thanks....
buttles 0 Posted December 24, 2005 If it is stuck in the 'Ignition off position' a smack on the combing unsticks mine! Good luck..........

buttles 0 Posted December 24, 2005 Bit between the steering wheel and windscreen. A light smack on top with the palm of your hand might unstick it. About 20% of the time mine needs a slight bit of encouragement to wake up...
