jekvr6 0 Posted December 28, 2005 my c vr6 has now done 93k i have it off the road for the winter i have a new set of lifters i want replace as i have a noisy one which really bugs me and i have to do the clutch as the release bearing wines when in town the chians arnt noisy at all but my bro has a highline vr6 which as only done 80k and he has just had to do them so i dont know weather to do them or not Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Kevin Bacon 5 Posted December 28, 2005 Mine needed doing at 93K oddly enough. The top tensioner was worn down to the rivets. If you're going to take the box off to do the release bearing, then it makes sense to take the oppotunity to fit new chains and a clutch. 2CC has done a complete guide, not sure if Dinkus has uploaded it or not yet though.
