philO 0 Posted August 23, 2003 Hi there. i'm soon to get a new exhaust system on my 1.8 16v C. am planning on having twin upswept DTM tail pipes, but thats beside the point! i want a system that will give more BHP so will i need to replace the exhaust manifold or is the standard one just as adequate? cheers phil
BarneyVR6 0 Posted August 23, 2003 Your new system will give you more bhp without replacing the manifold but not much, maybe 5hp more if you're lucky. Replacing the manifold would probably give you another 10 - 15bhp once it had been through a rolling road setup. Don't know how much exhaust manifolds are for the 1.8 but in my experience manifolds are very expensive bits of kit, for a good one I wouldn't expect much change from £
scruffydubbers 0 Posted August 24, 2003 TSR make one for the mk2 16v for about £270 in stainless steal not sure if it does fit the 16v corrado but i think the downpipes are the same on both cars so it might do,
