Rhodri 0 Posted January 8, 2006 How often should the gearbox oil be changed and whats the best oil to use?
dinkus 10 Posted January 8, 2006 No idea on how often, but Redline MT-90 seems to be pretty popular (I've got it in mine).
Trig 0 Posted January 8, 2006 http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=29300 MT90 Don't think there is a change interval at all but it's worth doing.
PhatVR6 0 Posted January 8, 2006 MT90 here too.
Supercharged 2 Posted January 8, 2006 Yep, demon tweeks seem to be the cheapest supplier of this...
was8v 0 Posted January 9, 2006 I used Fuchs (Silkolene) 75w-90 GL4 gear oil from Oilman on here, he recommended it as equivalent to redline MT90. Much cheaper than Redline MT90 since its not imported from the states - I paid £6.99 a litre posted (you'll need 2 litres). Certainly improved my shift no end since the manky old stuff was drained (gear box oil not a service part so it never gets changed normally!) got rid of any crunchness on my 100k box. Plus they sell 4 litre packs to save you even more cash - http://www.opieoils.co.uk/performance_l ... fuchs.aspx

Neil VR6 0 Posted January 10, 2006 I'm got some VAG fully synthetic gear oil in my new 'box and it's silky smooth.
Rpmayne 0 Posted January 10, 2006 I changed mine to that redline MT90, didn't really feel any difference but the stuff that came out looked pretty dirty. Think its worth it for peace of mind though.
