NickRStorm 0 Posted January 21, 2006 Assuming original suspension, it's probably just a spring not seated properly in the bottom of the strut. If so, it's nothing much to worry about.
VeeDub Geezer 0 Posted January 21, 2006 its lowered on KYB shocks and springs (-40mm) fitted last spring (no pun intended) and only just started "twanging"

dr_mat 0 Posted January 23, 2006 Sounds like a seized top mount. Does the steering pump seem to struggle more than it used to? Does the steering seem unwilling to re-centre itself properly?
VeeDub Geezer 0 Posted January 23, 2006 not that ive noticed but i went from my mk4 Golf to my gf's C so the steering feels heavy-ish to me anyways will have to pay attention to the steering wheel tomorrow
