mr.ots 10 Posted February 9, 2006 The ABV engine is the 2.9 fitted to the Euro spec Corrado, the AAA engine is the 2.8 engine fitted to the Golf and the US spec corrado. Early VR6 engines (both ABV and AAA) had dizzy's fitted, later ones had coilpacks. I'm not sure when the changeover from dizzy to coilpack took place, although yours (1992) is an early VR so I think yours would be a dizzy type. kebabman 0 Posted February 9, 2006 My '94 L-reg VR has coil packs rather than a dizzy, if that helps, but not an ECU with a built in immobiliser, that was only on the last cars I think, 1995 ones.
