LJ 0 Posted February 13, 2006 Back in the day, my old G60 (see below) pulled like a train. My recently acquired C has a 68mm pulley and 268/276 cam but I find it a bit slow. ....I know, use the full rev range, but I'm getting old and drive modern diesels far too often. Thinking either refit the standard cam or get one of those new fangled G-Werks max flow heads. I think I've answered my own question! Now to convince the missus. stevemac 0 Posted February 13, 2006 What sort of condition is the charger in ?
Rustynuts 0 Posted February 13, 2006 The cam should push the torque up the rev range a bit thats all. I suspect the charger too, do the charger test so often talked about on here
samg60 0 Posted February 13, 2006 YEah mate when I put a cam and big valve head on the car it certainly didnt decrease the torque, I guess the car either needs setting up correctly or the charger needs and inspection, have a good look for any leaks first though or maybe the iginition timing is slightly out, can make a huge differnce
