sciroccotune 0 Posted February 20, 2006 Is it possible just to set the camber on the front by loosening the bolts that hold the struts on and putting the cars weight on the wheel letting it settle to full camber (may need some jacking and help but you see what i mean) and nipping up? Is the full camber offered by stock struts to much, as in it will cause problems in the wet? sorry just a random tonight really. :D
RW1 0 Posted February 20, 2006 Stanard struts will settle outside the max camber. Also, it will alter the tracking significantly. All will affect the handling quite badly if you do this, particularly in the wet as the tyres will be put into a slight slipping situation continously so in the wet, a skid/slide will happen straight away. NOT recommeded!! .
Andy T 0 Posted February 20, 2006 the struts are not made accurately enough anyway, you'd never get the same amount of camber on both sides, get it sorted properly! and not by some monkey at a tyre/exhaust place. :|
