mr.brown 0 Posted March 13, 2006 Hey folks, first post as I'm in the middle of a G60 conversion. Whilst I've got the engine in bits I thought it might be a good idea to renew the injector inserts. I've tried a 10mm hex bit thru the centre but all I've succeeded in doing is rounding the hole out. Is there an easier way to do this or should I leave well alone? Grateful for any advice. zerocool 0 Posted March 18, 2006 I used oxy acetlene, and warmed them(melted them) got them out,but had to run a tap down the threads again,as it damaged them slightly. m20x1.5 tap,I think from memory. to be honest bud,if they look ok,leave well alone,I only took mine out because I converted from digifant to kjet, and the seats are different for the injectors
LowG 0 Posted March 18, 2006 If you have rounded the hex then use one of those tap star looking fittings, make sure its slightly bigger, hammer it gently and try it, they can be a bastard to take off.
