VRTrickster 0 Posted April 3, 2006 Hi went to the Pod at the weekend and tried the quarter mile! 1ST RUN 16.06 2ND RUN 16.563 3RD RUN 16.055 I was just wondering if this was a reasonable time seeing as though the car is bog standard with only a k&n panel filter. Have any of you got some times as standard or pretty much standard? Maybe some times with mods listed would be great for a comparison?
Trig 0 Posted April 3, 2006 Sounds about right, Wiki lists 1/4 mile time for a VR6 as 15.7sec. Although it has been known to be out on times in the past! :) http://www.the-corrado.net/wiki/index.p ... pecs_-_VR6
Claret Badger 0 Posted April 3, 2006 high 15's sound about right me bro in laws Karman can do it in low 8's mind you . . . and that's only a 2.8!
VRTrickster 0 Posted April 3, 2006 Most of the MK3 VRs after my runs were doing over 16 so I thought mine was pretty good for a first time drag racer!
Shaggy 0 Posted April 3, 2006 dont forget the head wind might have had quite an impact, i think it was mentioned that upto 0.5 - 1.0 second could have been lost??? so 16 secs is about right i should think.
