MFA boost/vacuum pipe query

Recommended Posts

Just plumbed in my boost gauge, however the t-piece that came with it is the wrong size to splice into the pipe to the MFA. So I've just un plugged the pipe from the MFA and joined it straight to the boost gauge.

Are there any problems with doing this (other than the fact that the MPG calculation no longer works)???

Can't see any harm but it won't be as accurate as running the pipe from the engine bay and as you say you'll loose the MFA reading...

Cheers Supercharged, thought for now I would try it off the MFA pipe to save me grovelling round trying to get it through into the engine bay. Also the pipe that came with the gauge is a plastic one, and I've got visions of it coming into contact with something hot in the engine bay and giving me a nice boost leak.

Nice to know it's not going to cause any big probs though...
