tonertron 0 Posted April 24, 2006 I flattened the battery at the weekend, as it would seem that the radiator fan wont turn off. Have a work around where I simply disconnect the thing if I'm leaving the car for more than an hour.....but I'd like to try and find out what could be causing it. Any ideas??? bigbluec 0 Posted April 24, 2006 Worh a try... Have a look at the left hand side very front on the Head (as you look at the engine head on!) And there is a small sensor with a single spade clip which can come off and earth itself against the head or even the sensor base touching the head can cause the fan to run constatntly. Hoe that helps
M 0 Posted April 24, 2006 Do you have any suggestions for a G60 fan that doesnt come on any more especially when the engine is hot and the car stationary? (Its' windows down and manual heater on full blast to remedy problem at the mo).
Walesy 0 Posted April 24, 2006 M, That sounds like your 'Radiator fan switch" isn't working.
Supercharged 2 Posted April 24, 2006 Or the plug wiring is broken...
.A.N.T. 0 Posted April 25, 2006 Get two wires and connect the fan directly to the battery to check it's not the fan motor... Couldn't tell you which ones are +ve or -ve though... I take it the fan spins freely...
