bcstudent 0 Posted April 24, 2006 If you're asking whether one of the pulleys on the water pump should be an idler pulley, then 'yes'. Is that what you were asking?! The later 1.8 16v engines and all 2.0 16v engines used a two-pulley power-steering system, which did away with the idler pulley on the water pump, and drove the power-steering pump directly from the crank pulley.
