Will konis from a corrado VR6 fit a Golf VR6?

Recommended Posts

Have just been asked this question and wondered if anyone might know? Also will they fit the MK2 Golf VR6 conversions?

I dont think they will fit a mk3.

They should I think fit a mk2 though. Sure Vince at Stealth fitted mk2 koni shocks to my VR6 anyway. Same chassis after all is it not?

Matt

Pretty sure the Konis are the same for the MK3/Corrado + axle platform, the H&R springs certainly are.... they even say "Golf III" on the coil!

they both fit both. all my stuff had mk3 on it, on the actual springs and on the shock box. Also a friend has just fitted the same set up on his mk2 golf

Im pretty sure the rear dampers on the corrado are 30mm shorter than the mk3's, my old set is on my mates mk3 16v and it sits very low at the back. Not a big problem and probably compounded by the eibach springs which naturally sit low at the rear anyway.

Coilovers are the same kit for mk3 gti/16v/vr6 and corrado vr.
