MarkGolf 0 Posted May 7, 2006 Hi, I've got a 13 row cooler and that is all.. I know I need a sandwich plate and hoses. I plan to pop down to think automotive this week and get myself these bits, but, is there anything else I need? What is the thing in the bag and can I bin the standard oil cooler? I have no clue when it comes to the best set up for oil coolers so any advice is good advice! Thanks p.s, what length hose do I need?

2_Door_fun 0 Posted May 8, 2006 I have a mocal cooler. 1/2" BSP fitting with 1 m of line all hooked up to a Mk1 Oilfilter mount. 1.5m of line should be fine. My cooler is mounted infront of the Rad. I dumped the original oil water heat exchange unit. Still got it in the shed. Will refit if it is needed.

fla 9 Posted May 10, 2006 2_Door_fun, do you have the sandwich plate and thermostat setup or is the mocal permanantly in circuit regardless of oil temp?
Tristan 0 Posted May 14, 2006 Is there a part number for a thermostatic sandwich plate oil cooler?
