G60Dan 0 Posted May 10, 2006 The Mrs has a Mk4 golf, 1.4. Ever since she had it back from the bodyshop she's been complaining the biting point on the clutch is really high. How does the adjuster work on the Golfs? Is there any way of getting it to bite lower? Any help much appreciated Dan
Supercharged 2 Posted May 10, 2006 Check the part of the pedal that holds the white adapter for the MC hasn't broken it's spot weld... Is it a hydraulic clutch? - if so get it bled - you will need to use a pressure bleeder for this (easy bleed kit) - if the slave is inside the gearbox there will be a bleed valve somewhere near the selectors... What was done in the body shop - take it back if it's related to work they did...
G60Dan 0 Posted May 10, 2006 Cheers mate, I'll have look Na, but the bodyshop would have had to drive it at some point. She's had it back for too long now for any blame to be put on them
