Fan Switch Replacement

Recommended Posts

Replaced the rad on my valver a couple of days ago, all went ok.......however noticed a bit of a weeping earlier today.

Think it is coming from arround my new fan switch that I used.

I ordered the fan switch from gsf, it did not come with any kind of washer, I thought this was normal as the original one did not have a washer either.

Has anyone replaced this sitch on a late valver and is a washer required? If so what is the part number?

Many thanks

Thanks

Thought I was the only sad git on this late! :)

Don't suppose you know why the original switch never had a washer?

another sad git here :D

the copper washers can be hard to notice sometimes, especially if original as they tend to become part of the switch after being crushed for so long.

neil.

Cheers guys.

Will sleep better knowing that! Trip to VW tommorow!

I just assumed if it needed a washer it would come with the switch, GSF don't seem to list one and did not recommend one either.
