vr6storm 0 Posted December 18, 2006 Im liking those mate, alot. I want Recaros in mine!!!!!!!!!! When you getting the keys then?? patience young man.........I was on the hunt for Recaro's from 2003.......even missed out on a set from a German spec C(that now resides in A1 VR6's C albeit retrimmed in Black hide)purely cos the guy selling them couldn't confirm whether the Biscuit colour he described it as being was the same as Beige leather  .....but all good things come to those who wait
vr6storm 0 Posted December 18, 2006 BTW Cazza nice looker and love the cloth Recaro's

randomist 0 Posted December 18, 2006 looking really cool, dragon green has really grown on me! when you said 'special interior' got myself all excited coz i thought it was one of those 'karmann' ones i've heard so much about!
A1 VR6 0 Posted December 18, 2006 VR6, Recaros, you couldn't ask for better - nice car.
CazzaVR 0 Posted December 18, 2006 Thanks for all the positive comments, guys :) Jim, damn right you do! purpley-corrado-dude, yeh, never been that keen on green before. That said, I had a really nice pearl green 16v a couple of years ago. It's really grown on me. I just couldn't turn down the opportunity to get my hands on this one. Here's some of the spec: Recent full head rebuild Koni coilovers Electric cloth Recaro interior K & N induction kit- I'll probably ditch this quite quickly! Momo steering wheel 17" Kahn RSZ alloys- do I keep these or go for some 16's or Speedlines? What do you reckon? I'll also get some red tail tints from the group buy in the New Year. Some more pics
CazzaVR 0 Posted December 18, 2006 VR6, Recaros, you couldn't ask for better - nice car. Thanks, Bill - any excuse to show yours off, eh? They're spectacular- who did the re-trim?
A1 VR6 0 Posted December 18, 2006 VR6, Recaros, you couldn't ask for better - nice car. Thanks, Bill - any excuse to show yours off, eh? They're spectacular- who did the re-trim? Yeh, couldn't resist, yours would look fantastic in cream - MJ did mine.
Goldie 2 Posted December 18, 2006 When the time comes for me i reckon theyll be doing mine. I saw A1 VR6s car at the National day and i thought the seats were stunning!! Got to admitt Cazza, not sure whether the 5 spokes work on the rado, dont think you should go back to a 15 though.
CazzaVR 0 Posted December 18, 2006 Cream always looks good in a green C 8) May have to save for a couple of years though! How is the retrim holding up? I've heard one or two reports of MJ's stitching etc coming undone after a couple of years. Yours looks top quality though.
CazzaVR 0 Posted December 18, 2006 Goldie, yeh, I've come to the conclusion that 15's look too small, but I prefer the drive, and I also love Speedlines. 16's are prob the best option, but would need to be something in the Speedline mould. OEM+.
Goldie 2 Posted December 18, 2006 OEM+. Dont think you can go wrong with that idea, thats the look im after with mine.
CazzaVR 0 Posted December 18, 2006 Yep, think that's the route I'll take too. I need to stop making plans! Haven't even got my hands on the damn thing yet!
Goldie 2 Posted December 18, 2006 Plan away, if you get Cream Recaros before me then ill be dead jealous... In all seriousness i think itll be a couple of years before i alter the seats..
CazzaVR 0 Posted December 18, 2006 To be honest, don't know if I'd change the wheels if I had a Storm. Think I'd want to keep it as it was. Then again, I suppose you could just keep the Solitudes safe in the garage so they'd always be there if needed. And as for the seats- if it ain't broke, don't fix it! Yours are 8)
vr6storm 0 Posted December 18, 2006 I've still got my Solitudes stashed away(well they are on a mate's Mk3 temp).......but I think the Corrado deffo suits BBS RX/RX2's more just a pity VW didn't fit them as standard...........tho Ive just got myself a set of Speedlines as thats another classy wheel
Goldie 2 Posted December 18, 2006 If i ever do change the rims for mine i want the BBS splits that OSV has on his Stunning Rado (without the black centres). I think theyd look great and in keeping with the OEM+ look. My plans this year is coilies, exhaust and a schrick. Think thall keep me going for a while. You gonna keep yours standardish under the bonnet??
CazzaVR 0 Posted December 18, 2006 For the time being. It's had a full head rebuild, so a charger may be tempting further down the line. Bit of a pipe dream at the mo though! Have thought about a Schrick, but think I'd rather put the money towards a S/C instead. Think the only thing I'll be doing in the near future is maybe replacing the K & N for a Carbonio or BMC kit. By the way, do your tail indicators shine orange?
Goldie 2 Posted December 18, 2006 By the way, do your tail indicators shine orange? They do, if you zoom in on the pic youll see the orange stripes. These arent the GB ones, i painted them myself. I bought a "go faster stripe" that was 3mm wide and used that to mask the indicators and reverse lights.
CazzaVR 0 Posted December 18, 2006 Think I'll probably buy the GB tints and cut some thin strips out. Can't be bothered to paint yet another set of lights!
Goldie 2 Posted December 18, 2006 Yeah its a pain. I got some of the stick on ones but havent tried em to compare yet.
Phil K 0 Posted December 18, 2006 Looks very nice fella! Did consider a VR to use as the daily hack before I bought the LCR and now I'm getting that I'm not sure how the futures looking for the C :?
