double-6s 0 Posted June 1, 2006 fek knows. i'm told a refund is on its way. kinda just in the process of buying a new 12v head and making an offer on a charger though, so looks like 24v idea might be off!

gradeAfailure 0 Posted June 1, 2006 21 and you have a Storm, enough money for a 3.1 rebuild, and a MK3 runabout as well...?! Wtf do you do for a living...?!
Stan 24v 0 Posted June 2, 2006 £100 to get it rebored. If you go to 3.0 you can use the standard VR crank, if you go to 3.1 you have to get a new crank sorted, on top of the pistons. Apparently, but Im sure someone will correct if thats wrong. I have a crank with my block, but it could do with being reground.
Chris VR6nos 0 Posted June 2, 2006 You can offset grind the crank to produce more torque and make true 3.1 but you can also get the block xrayed and see how thick the walls are to determine how far you can take it, you may be able to take it out further than you thought. Don't go too low on the C/R cos it will cause problems. Chris
rixy 0 Posted June 2, 2006 right o stan24v, so how much for the lot then? if im gonna do it, im gonna do it properly, so 3.1 is the way i think! dont wanna lower the cr too much, just enough so i can run more boost woth less probs when i get a charger! How much for your block and crank stan?

Chris VR6nos 0 Posted June 5, 2006 £600 for the kit you'd want which includes the big 11Lb bottle and proper swag, not the basic introductory kit. Chris
