Good mobile alarm bod in West Midlands / Warks?

Hi all..

 

Hopefully getting my new Corrado on Sunday but the only problem is that i'm going to need to get a certificate for the car alarm sorted before my current insurer (Churchill) will insure me for theft.. as it is, the car doesn't have one and comes with the standard VW/Scorpion alarm.

 

Firstly is that alarm thatcham approved... and secondly does anyone know anyone good in the West Mids / Warks area who could come out whilst i'm at work and just checkover the alarm and certify it for insurance purposes?

Use http://www.rsaudio.co.uk in Birmingham but will go mobile and they do Clifford or Toad

Quite possibly.. but there is no way i'm taking my Corrado to have ANY work done in a VW dealers!

Indeed.. I just want to find one who someone has already used / thought had done a good job. Afraid of getting a cowboy out as a dodgy car alarm is something i'm really paranoid about!

I'll need one fitted too in the next week or so, as you say, you wanna get it done by somewhere good, not just for the fact that you want it to work, but also you don't want it going off every night on it's own.

You dont fancy RS Audio then.

 

If your willing to fork out on a Clifford then I would use Bass Junkies or Quiksilver in Birmingham, but they don't go mobile. However using a "shop" I would prefer than a mobile fitter as you always have somewhere to go if it goes belly up!!

Well preferably i'd just like to get my current alarm certified mate. I can't really afford to get a new alarm fitted for a while yet and right now I have no theft cover.... and RS don't appear to cover Scorpion alarms!
