ardandy 0 Posted June 7, 2006 If I bought these wheels, would they go on my C? I know they'd 'fit', but would I have to change the tyres to lower profile ones? Hope not cause the tyres are nearly new and can buy these 4 for £130 inc tyres. They're 225/45 17" Thats all the info I have.
dinkus 10 Posted June 7, 2006 Er what size and fitment are they? Edit: Heh - beat me to it ;)
dub envy 0 Posted June 7, 2006 ooh.. had any arch work done? my 205/40x17's caught on all 4 arches. My rear tyres got cut to shreds. I personally would have said that they would catch.
ardandy 0 Posted June 7, 2006 They're Audi TT wheels. Hope I'd get them on cause I need 2 tyres which wil cost £116 and can get all 4 with nearly new tyres for £130!
ardandy 0 Posted June 7, 2006 So they wont fit?
Bendy 0 Posted June 7, 2006 How wide are the wheels mate, and are you lowered??? and you could always get them, strip those tyres off and get some new ones and sell the others. Cheers Ben
flusted 0 Posted June 7, 2006 They are 5 stud,is yours? Im goin to be runniong 18" audi wheels but need to finish the 5 stud conversion first
ardandy 0 Posted June 7, 2006 yep, on 5 studs. Its the height issue that I'm bothered about, or whatever it's called. Bit of a wheel idiot!
ardandy 0 Posted June 7, 2006 The only details I can get are 225/45/ - 17" wheels.
flusted 0 Posted June 7, 2006 yeah, you would need 205/40s,my wheels come with 225/40s and theres no chance of them fitting so i need 215/35s
NickVR6 0 Posted June 7, 2006 These should be ok with 205/40s, but its depends on how low you are. If your standard you have no worries, prob even if your down 30-35ml. i was down 40mm with 8x17s no problem (205/40/17s) Ride will be crashy though, if your not used to it will be a shock, which is why im back on 16s! ardandy 0 Posted June 7, 2006 I was only going to get them for the tyres. £130 for the wheels and nearly new tyres was almost too good! (I need 2 new fronts for my speedies)
NickVR6 0 Posted June 7, 2006 great price, you should easy get twice that for them. seen people running these on mk3s and cs. dont think the tyres will be any good to you though on any wheel size, the profile is too high, and they are 17s arnt they??
