VR6 Running Parameters

Can anyone advise me as to what their running oil temp is for a standard VR6 and the temperature that the cooling fan should kick in please??

 

Little concerned mines getting a little hot under the collar and prevention is better than cure.

100 on the water temp & the oil can be anything up to 120 depending on the outside temperature & how you drive it.

If the fan is kicking in at 110 is that over the top??

Mine doesn't go that high but it might depend on how the car has been driven.

Does the temp go back down once the fans come in ?

If it's getting that hot at idle and the fan isn't coming on then one stage of the fan switch has gone but the VR is a bit different in that it has 3 stages rather than 2...

Once the fan has ran at 110, it will cool itself back down to about 100 to 105. Is there a way to check the stages of fans running??
