PhilSatch 0 Posted June 22, 2006 Wonder if anyone can help... my G60 cuts out once it has warmed up, it then turns over but will not start. If I leave it to cool down for a bit it starts but then a few minutes later it'll cut out again. I've tested for a spark when the engine is turned over after cutting out and there isn't one. I've been advised its probably the ECU or dizzy.... Has anyone had this problem with a G60 before? any ideas? Thanks very much.
Supercharged 2 Posted June 22, 2006 Welcome to the forum - could also be the coil or Hall sender (part of dizzy)
_Monkey 0 Posted June 22, 2006 I had the same problem once, like Supercharged said, it was the hall sender, they're pretty notorious for it i think.

Supercharged 2 Posted July 8, 2006 Nice one Phil - you may have found the new one is a different colour / number and made in germany (if the old one wasn't then I reckon you have found the problem as they are known to fail... covincharger, hall sender is part of the dizzy which is about £100 exchange from VW. Supercharged 2 Posted July 11, 2006 PhilSatch, no worries - I'd also do the Fuel pump relay too (just as critical)
