tug 0 Posted July 3, 2006 I need to find a company that repairs ECUs, any suggestions or recommendations? Was thinking of using this company, but any advice would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks, Andrew.
ardandy 0 Posted July 3, 2006 HIGHLY recommend this guy. Wayne Schofield he's called. Generally the top ecu guy in the country. Sorted my GTI-6 out in an hour when Peugeot said I needed a new ecu! http://www.chipwizards.co.uk/
tug 0 Posted July 3, 2006 Cheers for that mate, I'll phone him in the morning! How much did he charge you, if you don't mind me asking?
Henny 0 Posted July 3, 2006 ardandy, I didn't realise he fixed 'em as well as re-mapping 'em.... Cool! 8)
ardandy 0 Posted July 3, 2006 Well, he narrowed down the prob to a faulty ignition coil so it turned out the ecu was fine. So much for Pug! Tey wanted £800 for a new ecu fitted!!! Even came to me! Drove from blackburn to Keighley, looked at it for a bit, we took it out and then he pretty much solved it & charged me £40!
dr_mat 0 Posted July 4, 2006 Funny that, Pug said exactly the same thing about my missus' 206, and it was the immobiliser reader coil, a £12 part.
