K&N Induction Kit Fitting

Recommended Posts

Hi

When fitting a K&N 57i to a vr6 do i have to do anyhting about air feed?

Or will it just take a feed from the general area if you see what i mean?

Cheers

Will

There's supposed to be one in the kit with it. It's just a crappy bit of plastic flexi-tube, that you can route where you want (usually down to the lower grille). Don't think it does a great deal TBH, and the cone will have enough air without it. However, it will be hot air, so not much point (apart from the sound of course!).

Get yourself some alu tubing the same bore as your MAF, and route it down through the carbon can hole, with the K & N on the end, behind the front bumper. Lots of nice cold air, and you still get the amazing sound.

yeh i found no difference with my old one, if i used the crappy flexi hose where k&n suggested, so i routed it through the carbon canister hole, bit better pick up low down in the revs, but not great though. lovely sound though.
