VR6 HT Leads, how the bloody heck do you get em on?

I've discovered an arching lead so I pulled it off, now i can't get the fecker back on, any tips anyone? Pls!!

u ideally need the proper tool for them

thought I might, where do I get one from? Of course now I can't get anywhere, I'll have to borrow the wife's motor

well you can push them if you get a long flat-bladed screwdriver on the back of the metal heat shield on the lead- then I tend to whack it with a mallet to drive it on just to be sure

 

Even when you have the proper tool its a PITA the be sure its on properly

Are you sure you've not got the ploastic version of the tool in the car?

 

Look on the bonnet stay or jack handle...
