Exhaust problem, do i replace with standard system?

by the sound of my exhaust, its about to drop off...

 

Im not really got £300 for a milltek exhaist (cat back) stystem that i wanted.

 

Is there any real no-nos with replacing my exhaust with a standard one?

 

Or should i try and break the bank and get the £300 milltek one?

iirc the standard one from VAG will set you back more than £300 although it is a very good quality system. Loads of garages will be able to get cheap pattern replacements (Bosal etc.) but the quality is pretty suspect. If it does need replacing you'd be aswell getting the miltek to be honest.

There seemed to be a lot of interest in the last group buy. Its a shame it fell through. I am needing a new zorst too. Maybe i will start a GB Feeler thread.... although i dont have the time to organise a gb :(
