myfirststorm 0 Posted July 22, 2006 Hi all,, help cant use my car 'cos gt no electric windows. theve never worked since i got the car but ive put up with it untill now cos the sunroof works. ive checked the fuses above the main board (brokethe central locking while at it) and reading the posts i think it must be the control unit. cant find it though, what does it look like and where is it? ive got a reciept for as second hand one with my documents. any help would be great Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

vr6storm 0 Posted July 22, 2006 ...........well ive a spare control unit out of a G60 I was breaking,it works as I had a window problem earlier on this month(which turned out to be the door handle wiring shorting out).....so originally thought it was the control unit too,but once i fixed the short I put back my original one if you want it I'll let it go for £10+PnP Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

myfirststorm 0 Posted July 26, 2006 hee hee hee, windows up windows down windows up windows down etc THANKS A LOT VR6STORM the unit arrived yesterday morning. put it in and nothing, lots of fiddling about later and I was making 'educated guesses' as where to run voltages accross the switch. there was a click and the passengers side went down. fixed. I put back my original control unit and found it works, I presume something was out of sequence and putting a voltage direct to it put everthing back as it should be.so the control unit was not faulty but i would never have fixed it without the spare one you sent. cheers Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
