Astrasteve 0 Posted July 27, 2006 right here's the problem. I own a 1992 corrado g60. Under acceleration a rubbing sound develops. Under closer inspection you can see from the underside of the car that the downpipe has rubbed away at the anti roll bar and just recently burst through the power steering pipe that runs directly below the downpipe. My guess is one of the engine mounts or gearbox mount. The car has been lowered but the rubbing only occured recent;ly an the cars been lowered 4 ages. Does any1 have the same problem? Crasher 3 Posted July 27, 2006 That must be a seriously shot front mount; the engine must jump up when accelerating. Get a friend to observe the engine whilst you let the clutch in with the handbrake on. Please get your friend to stand to one side though.
