TBH they don't really cause problems, the engine just sits on them, they don't take the strain like the front mount does, if yours is really shot then a S/H passat one would probably do, I wouldn't go for solid on the rear for a valver, too much vibration when the engine isn't massively torquey anyway. Baz2004 0 Posted August 14, 2006 Yeah the vibration issue put me off the solid mounts before when I was replacing the front mount. The cars had a couple of track days so Im thinking that might have worn the rear mount out. I get a knock and judder on lift off, Im fairly sure its not the front mount as its been replaced recently.
