2.0 8v power increase

is there anything you can do to a 2.0 8v to up the power a bit....... :-P

They aren't the easiest of engines to get more poke out of mate, maybe an exhaust and induction kit might give you a tad more throttle response?

 

You could maybe stick a cam in aswell , I seem to remember that gradeAfailure had a fast road cam in his 2.0 8v Passat and he was getting healthy figures from it.

 

I'm sure someone with more knowledge will give you a couple of hints

sorry to hijack but what injection does the 2 litre 8v use ,is it the same as a golf gti mk3 ?

The 2.0 8v has a very badly designed head so its going to be hard to get good results with standard head

tbh i am just seeing if there are any 'cheap' (not that there is anything cheap to do with cars!) mods, i am going to sell the car this time next year to get a rado....

get a remap then

filter, exhaust, chip and a decent tune

 

then you get into serious head/block reworking..

 

just bolt a G60 charger to it.. :lol:

how much bhp/torque do the chips give? Do they make the fuel economy worse?
