Jim Bowen 1 Posted September 22, 2006 Hi guys Another thing....lol Just took car out for lunch, normally use a different car, anyway went through a large puddle, not very fast or anything. but afterwards car started to feel hesitant and lumpy, only at lower revs/engine speed. Seemed to go away quite quickly after i put foot down for on a straight?
dr_mat 0 Posted September 22, 2006 Coil pack or ignition leads. Or avoid puddles. The choice is yours.
Jim Bowen 1 Posted November 20, 2006 UPDATE: i had BIG troubles getting home in all that wetness on friday, car was misfiring most of the way home, very hard to pull away, idled lumpy too. i looked under bonnet in pissing rain with a torch and could hear a weird clicking, turned off torch and could see sparks jumping about. they were on the very bottom right corner of the rocker cover as you look at engine, I.e: just above coilpack, there is a long wire/tube that runs around there and along front of engine, going into inlet manifold i think??? anyway is something wrong there as the sparks were shorting out on a bracket that holds this pipe. seems only to cause a problem in very wet situations
