cmoth 0 Posted September 24, 2006 which one is the fuse relay on the 94 vr6. Fuse box is on drivers side, and the fuse numbers seem different also?
VRTrickster 0 Posted September 24, 2006 Its located at the bottom right of the board, relay 167.
willg95vr6 0 Posted September 24, 2006 i have just noticed the fuse relay is still the bottom right as supercharged said but its is a different number. you can tell if you take it out you will find it had the same pin lay out. it is the only one that fit
cmoth 0 Posted September 24, 2006 thanks for that. Mines made in Portugal as oppose to Germany - what difference would this make..im guessing that it would mean that mine is not a genuine VW part? does it really matter??
cmoth 0 Posted September 24, 2006 I have just found that one of the metal connectors on the fuel relay 167 is loose( compared with the others) - could this be the culprit for the hesitation across the rev range most of the time? How much is a new one of these? worth changing the ECu at the same time. Whats the correct number for ECU also. So many questions...sorry!
Supercharged 2 Posted September 25, 2006 Yeah change them both, the Portugal will be genuine but they had some quality issues... on a VR I think both relays come to about £
fla 9 Posted September 25, 2006 ECU relay is number
